When you think of the word “mission” what comes to mind?

When you think of the word “mission” what comes to mind? For some, your favorite superhero may cross your mind or even your personal mission of getting all your laundry done by the end of the day. Our Founder, Scott Hamilton, established his CARES mission in 2014. CARES, which stands for Cancer Alliance for Research Education and Survivorship is a national cancer fundraising organization. Our mission as a cancer Foundation is simple, we seek to be a neutral convener between organizations, academic scientists, drug developers, and others to accelerate the advancement of less toxic treatments for isolated cancers and tumors. The mission that CARES was founded on couldn’t be achieved without the help of our Board of Directors, our partners, our volunteers, the vision of Scott Hamilton and most importantly you. Together we will change the future of cancer care and we can’t achieve that without your help. Rome wasn’t built in a day and we know advancements in cancer care won’t be achieved in a day, however, we do know that we are funding vital cancer research that cures the cancer while sparing the patient.
