CARES and our core values

About us

The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation is committed to revolutionizing cancer care by funding cutting-edge research that focuses on treating the cancer while sparing the patient from harsh side effects associated with conventional cancer treatments.

Cancer is a global health crisis and a leading cause of death worldwide, with 10 million cancer deaths in 2020 per the World Health Organization. CARES strives to fund lifesaving cancer research into treatment methods that are less harmful than traditional treatments and will transform fear into hope for the millions of people facing a cancer diagnosis every year.

CARES, which stands for Cancer Alliance for Research Education and Survivorship, was established as a National Foundation in 2014. Through research funding, CARES is changing the future of cancer care.
