At the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation (“CARES”), we are rewriting the story of cancer to transform survivorship into a life fully lived. Established in 2014 as a national foundation, CARES - Cancer Alliance for Research Education and Survivorship - is driven by a bold mission: to fund innovative, patient-centered, targeted treatments that fight cancer while preserving quality of life.
We invest in cutting-edge research that reduces debilitating side effects and supports the whole person - during treatment and throughout survivorship. Our goal is to extend and improve the lives of cancer patients and their families.
Cancer remains one of the most urgent global health challenges, claiming 10 million lives globally in 2020 alone (World Health Organization). The challenge is urgent, as is the opportunity.
At CARES, we strive for a future where beating cancer means living well, thriving, and moving forward with strength and purpose. Together, we can turn cancer upside down and redefine what survivorship truly means.
